1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PreDNS ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PreDNS is a free DNS preview service that allows users to generate temporary preview URLs to test websites before pointing their domain's DNS. The Service consists of:
- A web-based preview link generator at predns.io
- A wildcard proxy service at *.predns.link
- An optional cPanel plugin for hosting providers
3. User Accounts
Account registration is optional for basic usage (24-hour preview links). For extended features including the cPanel plugin, you must:
- Provide a valid email address
- Create a secure password meeting our requirements
- Verify your email address
- Keep your API key confidential
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Preview or proxy websites containing malware, phishing, or malicious content
- Preview websites you do not own or have authorization to test
- Circumvent security measures or access controls
- Engage in any illegal activities
- Abuse, overload, or disrupt the Service
- Resell or commercially redistribute the Service without permission
- Generate preview links for adult content, gambling, or illegal material
5. Content and Safe Browsing
We use Google Safe Browsing API to check domains before generating preview links. Domains flagged as malicious, phishing, or containing unwanted software will be rejected. We reserve the right to refuse service to any domain at our discretion.
6. Preview Link Expiration
Preview links are temporary and will automatically expire:
- Website-generated links: 24 hours
- Plugin-generated links: 1-90 days (as configured)
Expired links are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
7. Service Availability
PreDNS is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- That the Service will meet your specific requirements
- The accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PreDNS and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PreDNS and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
